Terms of Service

We scan tours for the artists you follow and recommend the few shows we judge worth traveling for — with editorial write-ups, scores, estimated flight prices, hotel recommendations, weather, and links to plan the trip.

We are an editorial recommendation service. We are not a ticket seller, travel agent, or booking platform. Event details, prices, availability, and weather come from third parties and change without notice — always verify dates, tickets, and travel with the venue, airline, or seller before you book. Any purchase you make happens on a third party’s site under their terms.

You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, so keep that address current and its inbox secure — it is your key to the account. You must be at least 16 to use the service. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service or these terms.

All Access is a paid subscription billed through Stripe at the price shown at checkout. It renews automatically each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep access until then. Where required by law, refunds are honored accordingly.

Some outbound links — tickets, flights, lodging — may be affiliate links, and we may earn a commission when you buy through them. This never changes the price you pay and never influences what we recommend or how we score a trip. Our editorial judgment is not for sale.

Don’t abuse the service: no scraping or bulk-harvesting our content or data, no reselling access, no attempting to breach, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, no using it to spam, and no circumventing usage limits. Caravan invites are for your friends, not for mass distribution.

The service — its write-ups, scores, design, and marks — belongs to Le Grand Détour. You may share links and reasonable excerpts; you may not republish our content wholesale. Artist names, venue names, and event information belong to their respective owners; their appearance here is informational and implies no endorsement of us by them or them by us.

The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. Recommendations are opinions, not guarantees; estimated prices are estimates; event data may contain errors or go stale. We are not responsible for cancelled or rescheduled shows, changed dates or set times, sold-out or mispriced tickets, cancelled or missed flights, hotel or lodging problems, or the weather — however much we wish we could be. Flight prices and times, weather, and lodging details are indicative and can be wrong or out of date; confirm every detail — dates, times, airports, prices, and cancellation policies — directly with the airline, hotel, or seller before you transact. We are not liable for losses from bookings you make in reliance on what we show.

When you book tickets, flights, or lodging, you do so on a third party’s site — the airline, hotel, ticket seller, or a booking partner — under that party’s terms, not ours. We don’t control those providers and aren’t responsible for their availability, pricing, changes, cancellations, refunds, or what they deliver. All Access payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe’s terms. Any dispute over a booking or a charge is between you and that provider.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Le Grand Détour will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose (or $50 if you paid nothing).

You can stop using the service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, and may discontinue the service (or parts of it).

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in California.

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We’ll update the date above, and if a change is material we’ll tell you by email. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept it.
