Privacy Policy
Last updated July 29, 2026
Le Grand Détour helps you find concerts worth traveling for. This policy explains what we collect to do that, what we do with it, and what we never do with it. The short version: we collect what the service needs to work, we don’t sell it, and we don’t run ad trackers.
What we collect
- Account. Your email address and, if you provide one, a display name. Sign-in is by one-time code — we never see or store a password.
- Your taste. The artists you add, the city you fly from, the trips you save, and any caravans (shared watches) you create or join.
- Membership. If you subscribe to All Access, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — we keep only your subscription status and billing period.
- Email preferences. Which digests you’ve opted into or unsubscribed from.
- Cookies & analytics. Strictly necessary cookies keep you signed in. We also use PostHog, a product-analytics service, to understand how the product is used — pages visited, features tapped, and session replays of interactions on our site with typed input masked. This is measurement of our own product, on our own domain: no ad trackers, no fingerprinting, and nothing is sold or shared for advertising. Signed-in activity is associated with your account; visitors who never sign up are an anonymous device. Where local law requires consent for analytics, we ask for it.
How we use it
- To scan tours and recommend trips that match the artists you follow.
- To send the email you asked for — trip digests and caravan updates. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
- To operate your membership and keep your account secure.
We don’t sell your personal information, we don’t share it with advertisers, and we don’t use it to train third-party models.
Who processes it for us
We run on a small set of infrastructure providers, each processing data only on our behalf: Supabase (authentication and database), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), and PostHog (product analytics).
To build recommendations we also query event, ticketing, flight, weather, geocoding, and hotel-availability providers. Those queries contain things like artist names, cities, and travel dates — not your identity.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links — tickets, flights, lodging — may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you buy through them. This never changes the price you pay, and it never influences which trips we recommend or how we score them. Once you leave our site, the site you land on operates under its own terms and privacy policy, and may set its own cookies.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. Email us and we’ll delete your account and the personal data that goes with it. You can unsubscribe from any email at any time without deleting your account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK under GDPR and California under CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Email us and we’ll honor it — we don’t make you file a form.
Children
Le Grand Détour isn’t directed at children and isn’t intended for anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date above. If a change is material, we’ll tell you by email.
